Every watch earns its place here

“Fully serviced” is an easy claim and an expensive practice. This is exactly what happens between sourcing a watch and the moment it appears in the shop.

Sourcing & inspection

We buy selectively — estates, collectors and trusted trade contacts. Before we commit to a piece, case, dial, hands and movement are checked for originality, and the watch’s overall condition and history are assessed. Watches with questionable originality, heavy corrosion or unavailable parts are rejected at this stage.

Movement service

The movement comes out of the case and is serviced by a professional watchmaker: disassembled, cleaned part by part in a dedicated watch cleaning machine, inspected, reassembled with fresh lubrication, and regulated. Worn parts are replaced where original or period-correct replacements are available. The watch is then timed across multiple positions and monitored over several days.

Case, crystal & strap — a light touch

We are deliberately conservative on cosmetics. Cases are cleaned, never aggressively polished — crisp edges and original geometry are worth more than shine. Dials are left untouched: patina is history, not damage. Where the crystal is scratched or hazed, a new correct-specification crystal is fitted, gaskets are replaced where the design allows, and every watch is fitted with a new strap that suits it.

Documentation & photography

The work performed is written up in a service report that ships with the watch. Then the watch is photographed as it is — unretouched, with any flaws shown rather than hidden. The watch in the pictures is the watch in the box.

Warranty

Because we know what has been done to every movement, we stand behind it: each watch carries a 12-month mechanical warranty, detailed on the warranty page. Combined with the EU’s 14-day right of return, you can buy a fifty-year-old watch with modern-purchase confidence.
